Problems you can't solve

I met a problem I can't solve recently, and I must say that is very frustrating.

I can't solve this problem because those experiencing the problem don't want me in the midst of the problem. There is good reason for that so I understand, but it is frustrating to be on the sidelines when a problem occurs--particularly a problem you care a lot about.

When I was young, I experienced a grave situation, a problem where I stood on the sidelines, but could not fix. As I look back on that time, there probably was a bit more I could have done with regard to that problem, but I still don't think I had the ability to solve that problem since I was too removed from the heart of the issue.

People like me, want to solve all problems as quickly as possible, but my years have shown me that some problems are not meant to be solved quickly, some problems demand patience and time, and when we solve our own problems rather than letting others solve them for us, the fix is generally better.

So as I watch problems outside of my realm fester, I'll do what I can do while I pray and hope that good people with the knowledge, experience, and proximity to the problems I can't solve will be able to find the solution. And as I wait patiently for those problems to be solved, I'll do what I can to work on the problems I can solve--problems that are within my reach. Onward.
