A relative shared a number of family history photos with me. I loved studying the photos and noticing so many good attributes of family members past. I was especially struck with the pride and love exhibited when it came to children and family life. Both my mom and dad carried on true dedication to children and family life from their childhood families. This is positive.
As I looked at the photos and read related remarks, I thought about how family members see their childhoods both similarly and different dependent on their place in the family, gender, personality, and their relationships with each other, their parents, and other family members. No two family members have exactly the same experience in the same family.
Looking back and then looking forward reminds me once again that life is short, and we do well to accept each other and work for the best for one another too. That's what matters.
