Some of us are working for very large, complex communities and others are working for small, targeted communities. No matter the size or make-up of the community you serve, that service is integral to a good world. We all have to do our part.
What does it mean to serve a community well?
Mission
What is the overall mission of the community you serve? How often do you revisit and revise that mission? How do you and other members of the community serve that mission?
Commitment
In what ways do you actively commit to the community? What do you do specifically to make the community stronger and better for all? How do you serve the mission of the community in tangible ways?
Assessment
How do you assess, analyze, and improve your efforts with respect to the community? Why does that matter?
Communities withint a Larger Community
How does your community relate to other communities? How do you serve those communities and keep the interconnections strong?
Good communities are essential to good living? It is likely that most of us belong to communities, and contribute to those communities too. This is good work that deserves our commitment, review, and tangible effort day in and day out.
