What do you desire from your political leaders?

In the past year, I've been engrossed with politics mainly because I hated all that the Trump team did and didn't do. Rather than take a serious attitude towards the issues that matter, the Trump team focused on their own self preservation and profit instead. Trumpsters acted with hate speech, bigotry, violence, irresponsibility, ignorance, and lack of collaboration with the best, brightest, experienced individuals--individuals who truly have the best interests of our democracy, people, lands, water, and air in mind. The Trump team took us back, back, back causing divide, desparation, illness, and harm to most of America.

Thank goodness Trump is no longer President. As it was, he robbed our country of our hard earned tax dollars, amazing potential, and the welfare of too many good people. I am so happy to see the Biden team working to restore dignity, support, and care for our government, people, lands, and potential. This is good.

So where are my political leanings now--what do I support, and what will I work for?

Convict Trump

Sadly we have a lot of cowardly, self-serving Trump-fans in Congress--Representatives and Senators fearful and unwilling to do right thing. These members of Congress need a giant push to get the courage and message that they must convict Trump in order to save our democracy and put our country back on a legitimate, people-centered, lawful path of opportunity. I will continue to support this effort.

Serve the People

I am very tired of the members of Congress and the Trump #GOP party who continuously make bigoted, self-serving decisions rather than serve the people. Most Trumpians come from states where there is a great divide of have's and have-nots--clearly these Trumpians only care about some Americans and not others thus leading to greater divide, desparation, and wasteful use of tax payer dollars and potential. To serve all Americans well with creativity and wonderful programs is to uplift our country. The rest of the world surged ahead in the past four years while the United States lost traction in many arenas since the executive branch wasn't doing their job for the American people. I want to support leaders who serve the people and leaders who stay faithful to their oath of office.

Protect our lands, water, and air

Climate change is real, and we're foolish if we don't support leaders who take these changes seriously and work to protect our lands, water, and air in ways that serve all of us well. We can do this and we must.

Innovation and positive development

There are limitless ways to improve the way we live in the United States and throughout the world. We have to take this potential seriously and work for positive growth and change.

Deal with the problems we face

I don't want leaders that simply lie about the problems we face or use those problems to serve themselves alone. I want leaders that face the problems head on with the attitude that positive problem solving brings us ahead.

That's where I stand politically now. Where do you stand?
