What will your next adventure be?

I received a photo of one of my son's that is in the midst of an adventure related to his work expectations. As a mom, I loved seeing his smile and also felt a bit of trepidation since I hope the adventure will be a safe one. Futher, I felt a bit of longing too--longing for post-pandemic days when we can all adventure again. Where will we go? What will we do? Will we be able to afford these adventures? Will the adventures be safe?

Imagine if we lived in a world where every country's leadership worked for safe adventures, exchange of ideas, and sharing our multitude of lifeways. I know few to no people who don't enjoy an adventure to a new place. Their quests vary from safe, local travel to worldwide, dare devil adventures--nevertheless, most people like an adventure now and then.

So, thinking about post-pandemic days, where will your next adventure be? What will you do? What can you do now to research and prepare for that excursion? Will you learn a new language? Plan a travel itiniery, or find a new way to make some extra cash so you can afford the trip?

For me, I have a few local adventures planned. One is a family reunion in the mountains planned for flexible response to COVID-19 precautions that exist at the time. The next is a mountain celebration, one that I hope will find us past most pandemic precautions and safety rules, and the third is a city adventure with a number of family members planned for more than a year from now. Way back in my mind, I have an international adventure in the works--I've been drawn to movies and stories that relate to this adventure, so I may engage in learning another language, saving money, and planning for that adventure in the far-off future. We'll see.

I think it's great to have adventures in mind--adventures fill us with enthusiasm, wonder, and curiosity--they propel us to research, learn, and plan, and adventures also teach us a lot and make life richer and more enjoyable.

I wish you well on the adventures you plan and embark on once we're past this pandemic pain.
