Consumer Rights, Responsibilities, and Opportunities

Today I began focusing on a lot of consumer-related issues. That kind of work takes a lot of patience because when you want answers about prices, services, and procedures, you can expect long waits on phone lines and via digital communication.

You see, once companies or agencies have your business, they rarely want to give you a chance to make a change. They don't make it easy for you to compare prices, question services, and make change. That takes lots of time and patience. Yet, if you give into those tactics, you'll likely end up spending more money and getting less good service.

The key is to stay on top of those issues, but that's not always easy with busy lives full of expectations and responsibility.

So, I'll continue this path of researching the many services and agencies we've worked with for years to see if we are truly getting the best service and best prices. In some cases, I suspect that they simply expect our business and do little to earn it.

This will take hours, but it is work that needs to be done. Onward.
