Embracing new worlds

No matter your age, you can still embrace new worlds. These new worlds can be new places, new interests, new projects, or new investments. As a recently retired teacher, my new chapter has been filled with new worlds of action and experiences. Teaching took up so much of my time and focus, that i put a lot of other interests on hold for decades, and now I'm exploring those worlds.

It definitely takes time to research and learn about new worlds of endeavor and action. You can't just step into new pursuits because there is a lot to know and you make many mistakes along the way. For example, in one new interest area, I've spent some undue dollars, followed some bogus leads, connected with some unreliable supports, and used materials in all the wrong ways. All this error tempts me to forgo this new adventure, but instead, I'll persist as I've finding an area of life that truly intrigues me, makes me feel good, and gives me greater capacity for good living. I just need to study more to learn about this new chapter and the many other new pursuits I'm engaging with.

There's a comfort level with doing what you've always done, but there is excitement and good energy that comes with embracing new worlds, and that's where I'm headed. Onward.
