Gardening is a lot like teaching--it's a limitless proposition. There's always more you can do, and you have to be satisfied with a regular routine of planning, care, review, and revision. As I ventured out to my "Little Garden that Could" named after one of my favorite children's books, The Little Engine that Could, I planted a number of seedlings that I started indoors about a month or so ago. I also started a number of container gardens and began to think about the flower/plant border I hope to create this year.
The buds and flowers are blooming throughout the neighborhood now which cheers everyone up. Last year was an extraordinary gardening year including good weather, few pests, and lots of delicious veggies and herbs. Let's see what happens this year.
