When our house is in disorder, we make mistakes. I refer to "house" as all that is connected to our lives including our work, relationships, finances, habits, and places. Keeping our houses in order helps us to do the good possible. How can we assess if our house is in order. Here are some questions to answer?
Did you pay the bills?
Bills come at us in a variety of ways today including mail, email, online accounts, at the doorstep, and more. Staying up to date on bills saves time and money. Also making sure that as many bills as possible come your way in timely, expected ways helps you to keep track of those bills too?
Do you have the money you need?
As one wise family member always advised, it's best to live beneath your means. Try not to spend every dollar, but instead save what you can, and if you don't have enough money see if you can figure out how to spend less, save more, and make more.
Is your house clean?
Crazy to say this, but a messy house often leads to more mistakes and more costs. Take the time to clean the house.
Do you have what you need?
Make a list of your needs. Prioritize the needs. Then, take it need by need and work to get what you need to live your best life.
Are you organized?
When we're not organized we waste a lot of time and money. Get organized. If you suffer from organizational-disorder, the best advice is to keep it simple with less things and lean spaces.
Are you getting your work done?
If you find you have lists and lists of undone work, you may have to lessen the work you are responsible for in some way. No one is super human, and no one can do more than they are capable of doing. Keep your work expectations reasonable.
Is your house cozy and comfy?
Is life a pressure cooker or do you have time to relax and enjoy life? You deserve a good life and if your life is too busy find ways to make it more reasonable.
We all deserve the right to live our best lives, and one important factor in achieving that aim is keeping your house in order. That's what I'll focus on today. Onward.
