Making Time for What's Important

It's vacation and a good time to think.

Last night I went to a wonderful family party that was an example of generosity and care. It was good to be in a beautiful home with people from young to old to celebrated a beloved family member's special occasion. Family is critical to the good life, and making time to care for, support, and celebrate family is essential. That's important.

It's also important to have that long vision for what's good for you and your family. What can you do to make time to celebrate together and take care of one another?

Of course, and as always, the theme of simplicity is big in all of this--less things, more time. That helps.

Also the notion of an empty drawer, unplanned hour, free day, essentially time to be there when needed.

And shared good times--planning ahead to get together for important celebrations and time together.

Health too--making the kinds of choices that keep you healthy so you can be there for those you love.

Vacation is a good time to think about what's important, and to make a path that leads you forward in that direction.
