It's worth taking the time to think about how you spend money--do you get your money's worth in the items, events, and organizations you invest in?
As I think about this today, I find that my thoughts are coupled with our family goals and vision--what's important to us.
Thinking many years out about what is important to you can help you spend and save your money wisely.
So what is important?
As I think about this today, I find that my thoughts are coupled with our family goals and vision--what's important to us.
Thinking many years out about what is important to you can help you spend and save your money wisely.
So what is important?
- Not to be a financial burden on our children.
- To pay our bills on time.
- To save up for a few special events and adventures.
- To support a good education for our children.
- To have a warm and welcoming home.
- To spend time with the people we love.
- To support organizations and causes we believe in.
- To live a simple life with less things and more time.
How you spend money is also connected with how you use time--using time wisely saves money as well. There are many things you can do for yourself rather than hiring someone to do them for you. Yet sometimes it's more important to get the help so you have time to make the money. That equation is different for everyone.
It pays to read up on money too so that you know how to invest and save wisely, and it's always good to deepen your skills and abilities to make money when needed.
We'll all make different decisions about how and when to spend money, but by making the time to think carefully about this question, you'll create the opportunity to live a more fulfilling life. Onward.
