Last night I was recipient of honest love from a number of family members and friends, and anyone who has been showered with such affection knows that it is a warm, humbling, and beautiful experience, the kind of experience you want to repeat whenever and however you can for the many people you care about.
The word honest is important here because this was not superficial, routine, romantic, or grandiose, but instead kind, caring, and truly from the heart leaving me to think how grateful I am to have such good people in my life.
This experience has left me thinking about the kind, authentic gestures we make the time to share with others, loving gestures that can be as simple as a few words, a note, a small gift, or time. As we work to share honest gestures of love with many, we truly build a better world.
