What's your planting plan?

How can I plant lots of beautiful plants that flower and feed in and around my home and at school?

At school, students are working on a number of planting projects. To support their projects, I have to make space for the many plants inside and outside.

At home, I want to spread many of the plants I have and make a small container gardens around my house.

Spreading meets splitting a number of plants that exist and placing the split plants in multiple places around my home. When  you split plants, you have to be patient because it takes a year or more for the plants to take shape. I was reminded of that as I looked out on the beautiful forsythia in my front yard--two bushes that began as small splits many years ago.

It's good for the planet and good for all of us to grow plants in and around our homes. The plants bring beauty and can bring healthy, local food too.
