In speaking to a family member who is frugal, I suggested that we do a little extra at this time. I noted that life is short and we want to acknowledge good times and good people. The family member agreed.
While sacrifice is integral for most of us to achieve what it is we believe in and desire, it is also important to stop once in a while to celebrate who we are, what we have, and our togetherness. We have lots of holidays that remind us of this, holidays such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, and more give us the opportunity to remember the impact special people and special events have on who we are and what we can do in our very short lives.
Sometimes it's important that we go the extra mile. Typically when we do make the choice to engage in a special event, we never regret that decision, but tend instead to look back on that time with good feelings and memories that help to make life meaningful.
