Respect the naysayers

I woke up with a bad dream. A naysayer was invading my space and had threatening words for me. What was the meaning of those words? What was the dream telling me?

As I thought about the dream, I realized that the naysayer represented individuals I do not understand well, people who appear to be more trouble than help. These people are less communicative and helpful--it's unclear what their mission, goals, or priorities are. They are a bit of a mystery to me, and sometimes they bring about frustration in me.

The dream was essentially warning me to stay clear of these confusing individuals; to not tell them what to do or have much to do with them. They are not my friends or supporters, and could be a danger to me.

Yet these are individuals in my realm, people I will see from time to time and people that I'll work with. Rather than contempt or disrespect, I can be curious about these people. I can listen carefully to their words, heed their correspondence, and support their good work and good living. I can collaborate with them when we share mutual goals, and stay away from them when our goals differ.

I have come to trust my dreams. When a dream wakes me up, I typically try to figure out the message in that dream--what is that dream telling me. For the most part, the most dramatic dreams I have are helpful messages that right my direction.
