There's no one way to plan a just-right vacation, and when planning, there's a lot to consider. First you have to decide who you'll travel with. Then you have to consider what they're interested. And of course there's the limitations of budget and time. You have to consider when you'll pay a little more and when you'll pay a little less.

- We like to move around a lot
- We like outdoor activities
Hence I planned a number of days of biking, swimming, and exploring mostly in natural spots that matched everyone's schedule. Due to scheduling factors, I paid a bit more for lodging than I planned on so that means more picnics than going out to dinner--we can do that.
I really enjoy vacation planning, and once the plans are made for the places we'll travel to and stay at, I enjoy reading all about the places we'll visit and planning activities to do there. The anticipation is a big part of the fun. Onward.
