The pain of lives senselessly lost

To hear the news about so many lives lost to senseless, violent gun rage is heartbreaking. To those of us who truly love others, the thought of their lives cut short because of an individual's angry rage is horrible. Today as I think of the many families in Dayton and El Paso who are grieving the senseless deaths of loved ones, my heart breaks again. I am angry about this. I want change.

So many leaders in America today are passive bystanders who appear to spend more time checking their bank accounts than doing what is right and good for the American people. These self serving politicians who stand passively by while Trump spews hateful speech that incites violence are complicit in these violent acts against innocents. Their behavior is inhumane and evil. We can do better and we must do better?

What can we do?

Impeach Trump
First, of all, support the impeachment of President Trump. He has shown himself to be a dishonest individual who lies, incites hate/violence, obstructs justice, and works for the financial gain and good living for only a few wealthy folk, not the majority of people in the United States or across the globe. His best work has been as an example of what not to do and whom not to be. He is a threat to our American way as he chooses the lazy leadership of shaming, blaming, lying, name calling, exaggeration, cronyism, nepotism, and disrespect rather than doing the hard work of leading well with good research, reading, collaboration, choosing a diverse group best & brightest administration team, and working for the welfare of ALL Americans not just a few.

Support Honorable Candidates
Then, exchange a dinner out, extra groceries, a night at the movies, or another special event for a donation to an honorable individual's campaign for office. There are countless good Americans who want the best for this country running for office, support them.

Work for Positive Growth and Change in Your Own Work and Life
Do what you can to forward the good in your home, neighborhood, community and place of employment. Seek to support those most oppressed and challenged, work against the prejudice and racism that exists, and do what you can to support positive, peaceful communities.

Speak Up Against Hate and Violence
Don't stay silent or complicit in the face of hate and violence. That does no one any good, and serves to obstruct good lives for many.

Be a Student of the Law and Positive Growth and Development
Make time to read and understand the good laws and potential that exist for better living for ALL Americans. Don't be fooled by trickster plans and sound bites, but read and think deeply about what will truly uplift our country. The problems we face can be solved with good, honest, positive collaborative work not lazy shame and blame sound bites and shoddy quick fix solutions.

We can do better and we must.
