Potholes

Sometimes we drive down the road of life and even though we're driving with greatest care, we unknowingly land in potholes that upset the drive.

The first reaction when getting stuck in potholes is often anger--anger at the pothole and anger at self--why didn't I know better; how could I avoided that pothole; where were the warning signs?

With time and reflection, we generally know why we hit the pothole. Perhaps we were looking up rather than down at the road. Maybe we were daydreaming. Perhaps something caught our attention up ahead. Whatever the reason, usually by retracing our steps we understand the situation.

In the meantime, we simply have to face the consequences by repairing our life cars, rethinkng our direction, and getting back on track with our life drive.

No one likes to land in a pothole, but it happens, and the only choice we're left with is to deal with it.
