Weekends: Friends, Family, Chores, and More

Most people look forward to the weekend. Some are even advocating for a four-day-workweek norm and a three-day weekend. I like that proposed shift--it fits the times and the advent of greater automation too.

Yet, while I agree with that change, I'm not actively advocating for it since there's so much more change happening all around us. Instead, right now, I'm focused on making weekends what they should be, good time for friends, family, chores, and more.

Friends
Typically time with friends includes a shared meal and sometimes a special event. The shared meals fit the schedule and the budget whereas time to adventure with friends is less available. Tonight we'll host a few friends for a good meal and conversation. I look forward to readying the home and prepping the dinner for this gathering.

Family
Most of adventures are family adventures. We're generally traveling near or far to celebrate a family member's special event or help each other out. Holidays generally are time for family too. There's lots to look forward to in the months ahead.

Chores
That's an endless list we chip away at with the mantra, less things, more time.

More
Time to replenish is integral--the best way to replenish is to get enough rest, eat well, and do the things you love to do. For me that's active exploration in a number or realms.
