I always like to have a mind full of ideas when I embark on vigorous housecleaning which I'm about to do. So I'm thinking about my 2020 to-do list. What takes priority?
Good Teaching
As has been the case for the last 34 years, good teaching will be a mainstay priority in 2020. That means working well with the grade-level team to teach all subjects well to our wonderful fifth graders.
Reverence
Reverence is my 2020 one-word and that means learning all I can about reverence and translating that into action that exemplifies what I learn to be true of that deep and meaningful word and concept.
Simplicity
I will continue to declutter my surroundings and keep only the most essential and necessary items with the theme, less things, more time.
Nature, Music, and Arts
I will seek out opportunities to fill my free time with nature, music, and arts.
Family and Friends
I will find time to be with friends and family in meaningful, supportive, and enjoyable ways as much as possible.
Celebrations
I'll make time to celebrate the good times with friends and family, celebrating the good times brings life joy and strength.
Personal Care
You have to take care of yourself in order to be able to take care of others.

Reflecting on life's events and focus daily strengthens good living.
