Don't Deny the Good Times

In all of our lives there are highs, lows, and plateaus.

Our life streams sometimes move in tandem with others and sometimes not.

Whatever the case, we have to honor and celebrate the good times around us. If we're low, we can't deny another's high point--we must celebrate that, and by celebrating others' wonderful times, we find that our own life gets better too.

I was reminded of this today as my son partakes in an exciting event. In many ways, this is a high for him--an extraordinary opportunity. Although, within that high, there are ups and downs as he's good, but he won't be the best in the event which demonstrates the relativity of every effort we get involved in--there's typically always those who are better at any task or endeavor you engage in.

But, it's not about who is better as with regard to the compare game, no one truly wins. Instead it is about these deep and wonderful experiences of life--experiences that are amazing to be apart of. We must celebrate these events for one another.

Further, with regard to our own lives, the more we push into lots of areas of interest and intrigue, the more opportunity we will have for satisfying experiences and events. If life's a bit dull, we need to try new avenues. If life is too busy, we may have to lighten the load by taking a break from some activities and events.

Whatever the case, we need to seek out the good times--our own good times and the good times of others. Hitching our life wagons to positivity truly makes a difference. So celebrate the good times--your own good times and the good times of others to elevate living. Comparison, jealousy, and too much focus on one's self takes us down, while celebrating the good times, positive events, and triumphs brings us ahead. Onward.
