Don't let errant politicians and leaders ruin the holidays

I am a big fan of people who work with dignity, respect, and intelligence. I have been fortunate to work and live with many people like this--people who truly care and do their best.

I am heartbroken to see our country led by people who don't seem to value respect, truth, justice, or intelligent, people-centered work. Everywhere I look I see opportunity for the rich, deep work of betterment--work that empowers lives and does not work with bigotry, classism, hatred, and me-first initiatives and effort.

Yet, while I am heartbroken and angry by these self-serving, narrow thinking, me-first leaders and politicians, I don't want them to steal from me the loving, positive holiday celebrations and work I can do. Hence, during this holiday season, I'll continue to support the good people who are working to lead this country, our communities, work places, and family with care and love, speak up about the errant behavior and direction of self-serving, narrow minded leaders, and spend time doing what I can to forward the loving and respectful ways that I value--ways that enrich and foster positive living and development. Onward.
