The holiday cards are arriving at our house with messages and photos from family and friends past and present. There is joy in reading about the celebrations and triumphs of many, and there's a bit of sadness too that you are unable to hold on to every friend from the past as there simply isn't the time to do that because you have your own job, family, and the new friends that come with that to care for and spend time with.
At the heart of most of our lives is our family and friends who are much like family--the people that make up our close circle of confidants and supporters--our loved ones. As life moves forward, I recognize the need to cherish and care for these people as much as you can as they are the ones that make life worth living. Onward.
