Today students and teachers will meet in a circle to discuss our grade-level initiative to read every day. I'll bring a bag of that includes my current titles. I'll talk a bit about why I chose those titles and why I am really excited to spend more time every day in school and at home reading. I'll remind children that to read every day is to substantially life your experiences and abilities in life as reading is a foundation activity for happiness, health, relationships, and academic success. Students will have a chance to share their reading questions, needs, thoughts, and inspiration too. Then we'll begin our All Drop and Read time, a time when children choose comfy spaces to silently read books of choice. This is a good way to begin the new year of school.
