Falling down the Trump hole yet again

I fell down the Trump hole again tonight. Why?

I fell down the hole because everywhere I look I see promise and potential, and everything I learn about Trump points to corruption, bigotry, hate, and loss.

He is the wall he loves so much, the wall that blocks the United States from the potential we hold as a wonderfully diverse people to maximize the great benefits of our country and work well in peace with the greater world too.

Instead Trump represents an old-time, outdated, macho vision--the big guy who has all the answers during a time when we know better, a time when it's clear that leaders who collaborate with the best and brightest rather than family members and cronies alone, lead better.

We are an interconnected world. We have a good government. We have awesome potential. Yet we have a self-serving leader who is obsessed with his own fame and gain in troubling ways--he appears to think he knows it all and makes decisions in undisciplined, precarious ways. Further, he spends substantial time slandering whole groups of Americans and individuals too.

Trump does not represent what I believe to be right and good with regard to good living or positive leadership. He is not working for the American people, but instead appears to be working for himself alone. This shows us that he is a wall to the good work possible; good work that will lead to a good future for all Americans.

Falling down the Trump hole steals time from life's good events and people. The hole is also dark and frightening since Trump has a history of fraternizing with crooks and criminals, people who don't shy away from criminal behavior and behavior that is connected with unexpected deaths and personal harm.

I'm climbing out of the hole now. I am so hopeful that every American, like me, who sees the nemesis that Trump is will speak up and act for change. We can do better in the United States, and we have to encourage others not to be fooled by Trump's self-serving lawlessness. I am looking forward to better times post-Trump; let's hope that those times come sooner than later.
