When your children are young adults, the time you spend with them is precious.
They have their own lives now, and if you want to be part of those lives, you have to be intentional about what you do and how you do it.
Our family sets aside weekends now and then to get together to share meals, adventures, cultural events, and travel. I look forward to these events and treasure the moments together.
As I think of our next event, I am thinking of the priorities:

As I think of our next event, I am thinking of the priorities:
- Time to listen, time to hear what's important to them, the questions they are contemplating, their next steps
- Time to meet and get to know their loved ones--the people who they share their days and pursuits with
- Time to recreate together with events that pique our interests, challenge our perspectives, develop our understanding, and bring us joy and entertainment
- Good food--we try to pick wonderful, affordable restaurants
- Time for healthy activity--walks, bike rides, exercise classes and more
This time is precious and I want to be mindful of the priorities that create these good times and memories too.
