I was sad to see the media sensationalize the he said-she said Warren-Sanders event. As has happened so many times before, it's easy to jump on somewhat trite issues like this rather than look deeper and with more detail at the ideas and efforts that will truly serve the best interests of all Americans. People were waiting for some reason to divide these two progressives because two good candidates cannot both win--the presidency is job for one.
As a democrat, I wasn't looking forward to the day when we had to choose one candidate from a group of so many dedicated, experienced, bright, and experienced people. I knew this split would come with some drama and disappointment, and now that has happened.
I've thought about the issue, and I've decided to stick by Elizabeth Warren because she's strong, intelligent, collaborative, experienced, and energized to work with the best and brightest to move our country ahead. We need a leader like her now, a leader who is unafraid to work with best and brightest associates to make positive change in the United States--change that will elevate lives.
How the conversation went down about whether a woman could win the presidency or not is difficult to know since both parties remember the situation differently. It's not too hard to believe that a person would think a woman unelectable since there hasn't been a woman president yet, and all women know that prejudice against their gender continues to exist throughout society. It's also not too hard to believe that two people can remember a conversation differently--that happens all the time. Yet it became a talking point that grew for better or worse.
I believe Elizabeth Warren will get things done. I believe she's the right person to be president after Trump since we need someone really sharp, hard working, collaborative, and experienced to do that. I do not have big problems with most other democratic candidates. I simply believe she is the best choice at this time. I believe her ideas matter to the livelihood of the American people as well as people abroad. President Elizabeth Warren sounds good to me.
