COVID-19 is upsetting life as we know it, and the only way to deal with this is to see the light in the darkness and find those nuggets of promise that exist. Where do you hope to be at the end of this long road? How will you change your daily routine to empower who you are and what you can be in the days ahead?
There's a side to me that just wants to wish this event away--deflection, dismissal, denial, yet that will take me down. Then there's the side of me that wants to maximize the potential that time at home with people I love holds. I want to invigorate and support that side--so let's go, what will I do?
First, I am going to commit to social distancing. I don't want to get or spread this virus. While I like time by myself, it is not in my nature to avoid my extended family members, but after consulting many, I believe it is the right thing to do right now--there will be time when this passes to connect in person, and in the meantime we can cheer each other on via technology and the phone.
Next, I am going to put into a place a better routine starting today. I'll place my less favorite chores and activities when I have the best energy at the start of the day and save my favorite activities for later in the day when I don't have as much energy.
Who do I hope to be after this ordeal passes? I hope to be a bit healthier, wiser, and more knowledgeable--that's the goals. Let's see if I can reach it. Onward.
