Trump makes me crazy.
I know that's exactly what he hopes for. He likes to make people crazy because, for him, that means he's trumped us. What matters to Trump is that he's on top--that seems to be all that matter to Trump. He appears to not care about people, the planet, the arts, education, science, or much else. He does care about money, his ego, and his power. That appears to be all that matters to him.
For people like me that have spent my whole life working to do what I believe is right and good for people, it is oppressive to have a leader of the United States put his wealth, ego, and power ahead of everyone and everything else.
Why would Americans support such a short-sighted, selfish, ignorant man?
Support for Trump makes no sense to me. The only rationale that I can surmise is that those that support Trump are looking for a big Daddy to revere or are thinking only about their investments and their personal wealth and well being.
Anyone who thinks about the world beyond their pocketbooks or their need to revere a big man like Trump, know that his narrow vision is oppressive and negative for the well being of most people in our country.
The quick-fix economic gains of his Presidency were clearly built upon a shoddy foundation. This is easy to see because as soon as the pandemic struck, his short-term, quick fix economic gains crumbled. His gains have been based on a weak foundation of bigotry, a widening wealth gap, ignorance towards intelligent teams and information (he disbanded the pandemic health team, did not take pandemic information seriously), nepotism (he looked to his son-in-law for public health advice even though his son-in-law is not an expert in this area), cronyism (he has staffed important offices with friends and family members rather than best and brightest skilled individuals), an elevated deficit, fragile suspect international relations, policies that pollute, support for NRA rather than sensible gun laws, and corrupt abuse of the law.
I can't wait until we get an honorable man or woman in the office of President of the United States. I am so weary and frustrated by the daily Trump show which is an offense to hard working Americans everywhere as well as the United States values and the potential we hold as a good nation. Trump is a narrow thinker who values money above all else--this is evidence of his weak character, short sighted, selfish leadership and inability to lead our good country ahead.
I would rather do a million other things than spend my time writing against the heinous leadership of the Trump team, but until this man leaves office, I will not be satisfied. He is clearly a danger to our country's welfare. Trump did not take this pandemic seriously in good time. He still clearly does not understand the science behind this event or the way it spreads. I don't expect a President to be an expert on all things, but I do expect a President to be bright enough to step aside and let the experts lead when we face a dangerous situation like this pandemic.
I plea for Americans to vote for the Democratic candidate in 2020--we cannot withstand another four years of this dangerous President. His policies, efforts, and advocacy are short sighted, and not in the best interests of the American people or people around the world. I have not doubt about this. We can do better USA and we must.
