Where do you want to be when the coronavirus worries have past?

If you read my blog, you know that I believe taking the long view helps you best decide about the issues that face you today. With this in mind, I am thinking about where I want to be when this whole ordeal has passed.

My son successfully completes his second semester of this year's college program
My son's college campus closed and moved all classes online. That means my son will be home studying each day. I want to make sure he is successful mostly because I don't want to have to pay an extra semester's college tuition. So we'll have to set aside space for him to do his studies uninterrupted. Since my husband and I will be home too, we'll probably have to put together some at-home protocols so everyone has the space, quiet, time, and tools they need to successfully keep up with their work obligations.

Healthy living
At the end of this event, I hope I'll be a bit healthier than I am now which means daily walk or runs, perhaps some online yoga sessions, and even some dancing (I've got a family wedding coming up!). I also bought some healthy foods to prepare in the days ahead which will help us to eat well. I hope the virus will not come into our home, and that we can maintain a healthy lifestyle in the next few weeks.

Good books, television, radio
Fortunately today's media resources offer us terrific movies, shows, music, documentaries, and more. The goal is to have the kind of media menu that elevates living rather than watching too much of the same talking heads that leave you no better than when you started these days at home.

Home clean-up and organization
I can't wait to tackle the closets, garage, and cabinets that need a good clean-up. I'm hoping that we get a few early spring-like days filled with sunshine and fresh air to energize these events.

Prepare the garden
As I've noted before, I'll plant the seeds and place them by the window to prepare for a summer garden.

So at the end of this event, I hope I'll be healthier, smarter, more relaxed, and living in a cleaner, more organized house. Let's see what happens.
