Better late than never is the the mantra as I create both backyard and container gardens. I finally started the process yesterday by digging out a garden patch in the yard and planting some seedlings. Today, I'll continue to transfer good dirt from our compost pile to the garden plot while I also transfer the grass mounds from the plot to spotty patches on the lawn. Further, I'll plant seeds in a number of containers on the porch and water the seedlings I planted yesterday. This coronavirus stay-at-home time is the perfect time to start a backyard an/or porch container garden. We're not sure what the summer will bring, but no matter what the restrictions are, it will be good to be able to get fresh veggies from the porch and/or backyard.
