Farmers must be smiling and nodding their heads as so many of us try our hands at creating container and backyard gardens. They know so much, and I know so little in this arena. But I'm not going to let that stop me. Day by day, I'll do a little bit more to learn about growing my own food.
So far, I created a small garden plot and named it The Little Garden that Could.
I also planted seeds inside and started some container gardens.
Next steps include making bean trellises, starting an upside down tomato planter, growing sprouts, and updating our compost area.
I like to chart new learning efforts as it is good to reflect often about what is working and what could be better. The ability to look back at a blog post, slideshow, or document that describes these efforts informs that reflection.
Let's see what the days ahead bring.
