Staycation plans

When was the last time you took a real vacation?

When was the last time you fully put work aside and engaged in activities that don't involve your professional life?

I have a hard time not working--my job as a teacher is a vocation and that vocation bleeds into almost all aspects of my life, but this year, beginning today, I am committing to a true staycation--a time to put work aside and focus on doing a number of things that I really want to do--enjoyable activities that spell relaxation.

Why now?

I know that a true vacation has the potential of truly elevating who I am and what I can do after vacation. A true vacation is energizing and if you read anything about vacations, there's great support for the positivity related to taking a vacation.

Yet this year, the vacation won't be in a new location, but instead it will be a staycation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

What will I do?

I'll watch movies, read books, play games, write, get outside and explore nature, work on my garden plans, connect with friends and family members online, celebrate a family member's birthday, and perhaps create too.

No work.

No have-to jobs with the exception of those that you can't not do.

A true staycation--let's see if the days live up to what I expect. Onward.
