Clearly President Trump is a short-sighted, self-serving, unethical, and immoral leader.
He has proved that time and again in his personal life and presidential life.
He does what serves him well in the moment with little intelligent thought about building a strong foundation for good living going forward. This quick-fix mentality threatens all of us.
Simply put, he's like the individuals who max out their credit cards to look rich, and the moment that practice is challenged by any kind of personal or societal crisis, there is no foundation to stand on and the "wealth" crumbles.
Quick fix economies crumple when challenged
That's what happened to our economy. Trump built the economy with a short-sighted, me-first, get-rich-quick scheme resulting in a weak foundation of policies that pollute, a debilitating deficit, widening wealth gap, erosion of needed educational, health and social supports, offices staffed with cronies and family members rather than the best and brightest, and suspect allegiance to foreign leaders known for their human rights violations. He and his team of cowardly, self-serving cronies and family members have eroded the foundation of this good country to elevate their own power and wealth.
Manipulation is a criminal tactic
Many have tried to de-throne this heinous President who works solely for himself and a few cronies--a trickster who has manipulated many ignorant common folk with his rally theatrics to believe he's looking out for them as he rips apart the supports that empower their lives. They, like him, are short sighted, and unlike him, extremely gullible. He knows their memories are short and their ability to understand the experts weak--he uses that knowledge to appeal to their long held prejudices, fears, and desire to be told what to do and to believe in a quick fix that doesn't exist. This is criminal.
Ignoring intelligent information is dangerous
We all know people who continually ignore intelligent information. Sadly these people generally end up in debt, live shorter lives, create pain and suffering for themselves and others, and cause havoc in society. Intelligent information from any field of study matters, and we see the life changing results that occur when people use good intelligence to make decisions. Trump ignores intelligent information again and again, and that puts every life in our country at risk. He ignored pandemic warnings, disbanded the pandemic team, inferred the dangerous virus was a hoax misleading individuals at his rallies two months after he knew of the virus's danger, and still ignores and degrades the good intelligence related to how to solve this problem today.
Trump has also ignored intelligent information related to environmental protections thus contributing to polluted air, land, and water. He has stood with the NRA even though there's evidence of their corrupt ways and proof that guns are a threat to innocent lives everywhere. By supporting tax cuts for the wealthiest amongst us, he further widened the wealth gap creating a dangerous divide that leads to greater violence, lost lives, and destitute people. Trump put a wealthy and suspicious benefactor's sister in the office of Secretary of Education, and by filling that office with a crony, he has not supported the good work schools may do to elevate lives in healthy, productive ways. He's rolled back intelligent policies that support healthy living and worked to hinder individuals' ability to get affordable health care. Trump is the anti-intellectual President because he's impatient for success and he works for his own gain alone, not the welfare of the people he has been elected to serve.
Working for yourself alone harms others
If we work solely for our own gain and fame, we endanger the lives of others. As a society, we are dependent on one another. Trump is like the neighbor who throws hazardous waste in your yard so it doesn't make a mess of his own yard. Rather than working with people to find win-win solutions, Trump thinks of what works best for him and moves ahead without care or concern for others, and without the intelligence to recognize that we have to work together to create solutions to the problems the world faces--we all rely on one another.
His will to blame the WHO for their response to the pandemic is solely a move to deflect responsibility and transfer his missteps to another group. He is fixated on fighting "bad guys" and is always replaying that story with himself as the hero. For example, he has named the virus, "the enemy" and now he has named the WHO and China as the bad guys, and he grandstands nightly at his White House Briefings trying to convince us that he is the hero. Yet, the facts are clear. He golfed, held rallies, and ignored warnings about this pandemic--he was irresponsible. He ignored intelligence reports, and now wants to deflect the blame he deserves, once again, for not doing his job.
Earlier in the year, he spent lots of time, money, and capacity compromising international relations in corrupt ways as he sought dirt on the Biden family. That was to strengthen his chances to become President again. He did this rather than do his job as President of the United States. That's like having a co-worker on the phone all the time spreading and collecting dirt about her ex-husband rather than doing her job. That's irresponsible, negative, and unproductive. That wastes time and money.
Again and again, his self-serving efforts have skirted and broken laws. Yes, he made himself the hero rescuing Wollman Rink in Central Park, and yes, it is nice to have an ice rink in a city park. But he did it at no cost, and makes money each year on the revenue.
Yes, he had a charity to help others, but no, the money didn't go to the people--instead he tricked donors and used the money for himself.
Yes, he's built many buildings, but he's cheated many people as he builds those buildings, and he has ruined neighborhoods and commerce where some of his big, ugly buildings stand.
Yes, he had wives and babies, but he cheated on at least one wife and later appeared to threaten and bribe the woman he had an affair with.
Yes, he had faithful comrades, but when it became clear they were doing his dirty work, he let them go to jail and pay the consequences while he took no responsibility for the bad acts.
Yes, he owns a fancy Florida resort, but no, he does not pay the bills. Instead, he makes the American tax payer pay exorbitant fees to support his private residence where he conducts national business without attention to laws, ethics, or important protocols for such business.
In addition, he continually plays the financial laws, by monkeying around with his investments, taxes, and loans so that he profits, but does not do his due diligence by paying his part. Cheating the system appears to be sport for him, and if you study his biography, it appears that cheating is a long-time family quality. But when people cheat the system, they also harm so many others who do the right thing--people that eventually pay the price for his seemingly self-serving criminal acts.
The list of his unethical, immoral, and self-serving behavior as President of the United States goes on and on and on. The Doris Kearns Goodwin's of the future that will unravel this dangerous and destructive man's life are probably preschoolers right now as it will take that many years to decipher his heinous acts and behaviors as well as his sick psychological profile.
Liar-in-Chief
Trump lies all the time. Truth holds no value in his life.
Fake Christian
Certainly the quest to be a true Christian is a mountain to climb--few to none of us can claim that we are true Christians, but a fake Christian simply uses that title to get votes without any true concern for the essential values of the faith. True Christians would not separate children from their loved ones, put children in cages, irresponsibly will the deaths of thousands simply to raise the economy, pollute the environment, elevate poverty, roll back policies that lead to healthy lives, slander good people and promote prejudice and bigotry. Trump rarely exemplifies Christian values or principles. Instead he appears to belong to a faith whose mantra is take care of yourself at all costs, and do what you can to elevate your personal wealth and power no matter what harm you bring to others.
What is surprising is that he doesn't even take care of his own young child and grandchildren because he's creating an unlivable world of hate, prejudice, pollution, and strife rather than building a world that acknowledges our interconnectedness by working with others to forge policies and practice that help us all to live with peace and prosperity. His children and grandchildren will inherit the hate that so many feel for Trump and his heinous cronies, hate born out of their self-serving, disrespectful, inhumane, criminal behavior. They will carry this weight just as the relatives of Nazi war criminals carry the weight of so many innocent lives lost and tortured.
Today Trump will spew more hate, more lies, more ignorant ideas--he will waste hours of people's time and lots of our hard earned tax dollars. He will cause stress and create divide. He will also entertain many with his manipulative theatrics and his freakish lack of concern or care for humanity--people watch because they have never witnessed such a lack of concern, conscience, or regard for ethics, morality, or civil decorum.
Too often, I've fallen down the Trump hole of despair since he's our country's leader and he does not represent my values or vision for the United States and people everywhere. I've witnessed so much good in my life and I've seen the results of positive policy, good ideas, and people-centered efforts. I know the potential we hold for betterment, so I am filled with anger, frustration, and despair when I see such an ignorant, cowardly bully lead in ways that harm so many people today--the kind of harm that will take years and perhaps decades to undo. He is truly modern day society's Hitler--a manipulative, self-serving, dangerous man that puts our good lives and good living at risk. We can do better, United States. Don't be fooled by this dangerous, self-serving, hateful man and his like-minded family members and cronies.
He has proved that time and again in his personal life and presidential life.
He does what serves him well in the moment with little intelligent thought about building a strong foundation for good living going forward. This quick-fix mentality threatens all of us.
