There is a reluctance for some when it comes to holding President Trump and his team of friends and family members accountable for their self-serving acts that have elevated the deficit, widened the economic gap, polluted the planet, compromised international relations, supported corruption, filled important offices with cronyism and nepotism rather than best and brightest individuals, and ignored critical pandemic warnings, disbanded the pandemic health team, and implied the deathly virus was a hoax rather than protect the lives of American people. Many think of the Bible verse below, and don't speak with contempt knowing that they aren't perfect either:
^ The Holy Bible, Authorized King James Version (1611), “The Gospel According to John”, chapter 8, verses 3–7
³And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
⁴They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
⁵Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
⁶This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
⁷So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Yet, to sit idly by and accept one corrupt, weak, self-serving decision after another, is to put American lives in danger. To not speak up, is to support ruination of the planet, good lives, and a positive future. We must speak up and act out against the heinous acts of this self serving Trump team that put their own wealth and power ahead of good living day after day--all of our lives are in jeopardy under the Trump team's corrupt, seemingly "Less for/of them, more for us" philosophy of leadership.
And when we speak up, we also have to head the Biblical words above and think about our own lives and our own potential for betterment. None of us are without wrongdoing and none of us have the monopoly on knowledge and good--our only hope here is to continually reflect on our own lives and work on our own and together to do our best to promote what is right and good each day.
