No Leadership in the WH: What should Americans do?

There is no leadership in the White House.

There is corruption, hate, bigotry, ignorance, harmful cronyism, and self-serving evil in the White House?

What should Americans do?

The President of the United States and his police acted lawlessly as they attacked peaceful protesters to give the President a chance to hold a Bible as a prop for a photo.

One day after another, Trump and his team of corrupt cronies work against the rights, opportunities and good living for most Americans.

The list goes on and on with regard to how Trump works against what is right and good for the American people.

Take care of yourselves
The Trump team would like you to forget that there is a serious virus spreading throughout the country--this virus is a true threat to Americans, particularly older Americans. Don't waste your life--take care of yourself.

Do Something Positive
Find a way to positively and peacefully act against this heinous, self-serving Trump regime. Yes, they are a nightmare, but we must act in solidarity with peace to put an end to their ways.

Continue to Study and Learn
Find ways to act against the police brutality, racism, ignorance, and hate that was this week's catalyst for protests. This can't continue--we all have to work against it.

In No Way, Support the Hate, Bigotry, and Criminal Behavior that Exists
Don't turn a blind eye to these heinous events and activity--work against it, speak up, do what you can. If everyone does something positive we will move forward.

For me, I'll continue to do what I can to teach well in the days ahead--a kind, thoughtful, positive education is helpful to my students and their families. I will also lead a book group related to the book, White Fragility, to learn with others how I can work against racism, hate, and related brutality, hatred, and crime. Then, once the school days end for the summer, I'll think more deeply about how I can work with colleagues to continue to build an inclusive, anti-racist, positive teaching and learning program at school. I will also look for ways to support good leaders in ways that I can. Onward.
