It may sound silly, but limitations actually create a framework--a framework for living and for any pursuit you're engaged in.
This pandemic creates lots of limitations, and the creative challenge is to use those limitations to create a livable, positive framework for living.
How will I translate pandemic limitations into a positive framework for good living?
Family ties
Family is tops when it comes to life priorities for me. I'll use the pandemic limitations to create a framework of positive family connections including picnics, ZOOM calls, shared online/offline pursuits, time in nature, organizing and updating our home, and more. We'll find ways to keep our connections strong and positive.
Learning
The pandemic creates more time for reading, research, reflection, analysis, and writing. Learning makes you stronger and during this time I'd like to think deeply about the authors I turn to for good information, the stories I read, and the questions I want to research. I suspect that I'll turn this deep interest into more formal and detailed writing in the days ahead.
Simplifying
Less things, more time. When I am not tied down by lots and lots of things, I have much more time for thinking, creating, and doing. This is positive.
Hobbies and Interests
I have many pursuits that I enjoy, and the pandemic provides time to engage in many of those pursuits. The pandemic limitations also make time to research and prepare to engage in some pursuits, like travel, that I enjoy once this virus threat has passed.
Health
The pandemic framework leaves greater room to get healthy. This is positive too.
Limitations of any kind create a framework for living a good life if you allow that to happen. This takes some thought and creativity, but it is possible.
