Summer of Change

This is clearly a summer of change. I know that I reference change a lot, but for some reason the change this summer seems greater. I mentioned this to friend who is in a similar position in life to me, and she agreed that our stage is a stage of change for many, many reasons.

These are not loud, obvious changes, but quiet, subtle changes instead. It is a change from lots of busyness to greater alertness, lots of share to greater discernment, little routine to greater routine, and hopefully more talking to more listening.

I found myself wrestling with a couple of decisions in the past few weeks, and yesterday I decided what to do. I cancelled one event that I had planned, went forward with another, and added one more task--a more difficult task that will take some good energy. I've learned that while I readily do jump into new endeavor, new efforts do take considerable time, energy, thought, and preparation.
