Unexpected summer plans

Every summer, the plans change.

I didn't imagine that I'd be spending summer days studying OSHA, ADA and CDC regulations, but that's what I've been doing.

I didn't imagine that I'd be researching all the details of the existing pandemic, and making tough decisions related to the threat this national public health crisis is.

I also didn't imagine that I'd be debating rules for safe get togethers and social plans with friends and neighbors.

This is a summer like no other, and one that I hope we won't repeat anytime soon.

Yet, I'm not going to change what's happening--my only choice is to accept this as the challenge it is and make the best of it with positive actions. What will I do?

Research and stay informed
I will continue to research and learn all I can about the situation so I can make wise choices.

Advocate for better
I will continue to advocate in ways that I can for positive decisions and leadership

Engage in productive activity
There's a limitless list of positive efforts I can get involved in, and I'll focus on those.

Stay positive, empathetic, and caring
Unlike many of the heinous leaders we now have, I'll work to stay positive, empathetic, and caring.
