Today's Adventure: Mushroom Risotto |
Cooking and baking are a lot easier these days than in the past. This is true because the ingredients you need are much more accessible either in real time or online, and recipes and related information are accessible too. In the past, the only way I could imagine cooking foods from traditions and locations other than my own, was to go to a restaurant, but now, all I have to do is a quick Internet search and then try ou the recipe. It's wonderful.
Cooking is also a great way to be creative and to give to others too. For example, today I'll make some new recipes including grilled black bean burgers and mushroom risotto. My husband has requested that I made one of his favorite desserts, peach cake, and we'll buy corn from the local farmer and make a tossed salad too with farm-fresh veggies.
Cooking has been a bright light of these pandemic days. Since we're home a lot more, we can spend that time trying out new recipes and focusing on health meal preparation and dining. A win-win.
