We're going on vacation.
We planned this event more than a year ago to celebrate my son's wedding.
Of course, everything has changed due to the pandemic. The wedding has been postponed, the rental days shortened, and the numbers of people dramatically reduced.
Yet, how can we make a vacation during a pandemic still fun and relaxing--what can we do?
Healthy, delicious foods
We've created a menu of healthy, delicious home-made foods and snacks.
Outdoor activities
We'll gather outside to swim, hike, and bike.
Greater Intimacy
Intimacy is a silver lining of the pandemic, so we'll slow it down and make the time to listen to one another and enjoy each other's company.
Games
We like games, and if we can do that together with social distancing we'll likely play some games.
Reading
I'm reading a few books--so I'll likely find time to relax and read.
What we won''t do:
We won't gather with large groups, go into a restaurant, or take part in big social gatherings of any kind. We miss those events, but that's the way it is.
Now it's time to pack. . . onward.
