I knew Trump would spew hate and insults. I suspected that he would incite violence and lie. I wasn't surprised when, like an attack dog, he continously attacked Biden by interrupting him time and again, but I was surprised at how the Trump abuse during the debate affected me. I'm still smarting from his 90+ minutes of verbal abuse last night. Trump is a danger to all of us.
So, knowing the reaction Trump and his corrupt cronies create in me, will I watch future debates?
Yes, I'll watch, but I'll be better prepared.
What will I do?
I'll track the debate online in the following ways:
- chart when candidates break the agreed-upon protocols
- chart the exact words spoken by candidates that create a visceral reaction in me
- acknowledge specifically with evidence my analysis of the debate overall after the debate
I'll be more prepared emotionally for the abuse next time. I'll use a curious attitude with the question, What makes Trump such a crazy, ignorant, dangerous, and irresponsible individual?
Clearly Trump is a poor and unhinged leader--a danger to good lives throughout the country and the world. He made that clear last night. I know Americans will do the right thing and vote for Joe Biden. I know that people will vote for change.
