Bad days happen for all kinds of reasons. I can point to about twenty reasons why today is not such a good day. The reasons include less than positive decisions, consequences of less than positive decisions, learning that is the painful type of learning, and lethargy after listening to Donald Trump ridicule, threaten, and demean so many of us with no discipline for a long time last night.
Fortunately none of the reasons for such a bad day are the kind of painful events that take weeks, months or years to overcome. These are relatively small matters (with the exception of Trump's dangerous and destructive acts/words) which can be remedied or at least worked on in short time.
Typically these bad days happen to me after a series of very positive days and weeks that leave me elated, proud, happy, and then the bad day strikes and serves as a point of humility, reflection, and recalibration. Too much pride is not a good thing.
So, it's time to get some good rest and pick up the pieces as I prepare for better days.
