Good living is not all fun and games

To live well is not always a sensational, exciting episode of life--good living demands responsible, thoughtful endeavor. It means that you have to make time for the dull work and laborious jobs that create better opportunities and living for you and your loved ones.

I see this happening in my own life and the lives of my loved ones. Many are involved in educational and professional programs that require commitment and hard work. Attention to these programs will result in more money, greater opportunities, and a better standard of living for them and their loved ones. Others are involved in care taking and jobs that support good living for themselves and their loved ones. Others are involved in community programs that create more and better opportunities.

Good living is not all fun and games. Good living includes challenging, purposeful work too. What gives us the energy to do the hard jobs in life is the vision we have for better living for ourselves and others. The pandemic is a good example of this as the pandemic limitations require considerable sacrfice to stay safe and reach an end to this challenging time. Sadly our own President is unable to mentor this sacrifice since he makes fun of the hard work and limitaitons needed to stay safe for yourself and others--he does whatever he wants no matter if it risks people's lives or not. He is a poor example of what it takes to live well since he does whatever he wants to prop himself up with no care for others.

How can we live well for ourselves and others?

First you have to consider the long term vision for good living for yourselve, your loved ones, and those in your community? What's required. Then work backwards at what you will do to make this good living a reality. As you make your list, don't shy away from the hard work required as that hard work will result in good living. Onward.
