Keep the focus

Life calls us in many ways. I believe it is essential that we listen to those calls, and respond.

How do you know what life is calling you to do and be?

Dreams

Our dreams, in part, are signs of our calls--what we dream about gives us ideas about who we are meant to be. Ways that you can figure out what your dreams are saying is to use simple sentences such as these:

  • If I could be anywhere in the world, I would be _________________.
  • If I could do anything, I would ________________________.
  • If I could create the perfect life that would include _______________________
These kinds of sentences can help us pinpoint our dreams and show us where our heart's desire lies.

Appreciation

Think about what people appreciate in you--their appreciation, in part, demonstrates your unique gifts--gifts that are your personal powers. To understand these personal powers is one way to understand the unique talents, skills, and abilities you are called to use in positive ways.

How you spend your time

What you do is who you are? What do you find yourself doing most of the time? Think about these actions--are the actions positive? If so, likely what you do is what you are called to be.

Happiness

Are you happy? I do believe life includes some challenging sacrifice, but in general, I believe we are all called to be happy people, and happiness is part of our call. When we are happy, we do good work and contribute well. So, I believe we are called to do what makes us happy for ourselves and others.

Good living for ourselves and others

We need to assess our efforts and determine if those efforts are positive. I believe that we are all called to live good lives for ourselves and others.

Inspiration and insight

When you make time to think and reflect, you will find inspiration from multiple sources that lead you to understand your call as an individual--that inspiration and insight will direct you in positive ways.

We all have to think deeply about who we are today and where we are headed. Sometimes we have to make difficult decisions that right our path, but mostly it means sticking to a positive routine of good living for our own lives and others. Knowing who we are and what we are called to be is essential to good living. Onward.
