Living a good life

To live a good life demands daily attention and reflection. To live a good life means noticing the wins and losses of daily living--what life choices lead to betterment, and what life choices require revision. As a retired teacher, I find myself using a program development approach to life--an approach that finds me continually assessing actions/decisions as they relate to life goals.

Sometimes to make better means making changes that not only impact me, but changes that impact others too as I notice which lifeways are better than others.

What I notice is more of the same, yet I find that I have to continually revisit these choices in order to solidify and integrate the decisions into good living.

So, what's on the list?

It's simple.

Beautiful places.

A warm, welcoming home.

Nutritious, healthy foods.

Events, books, music, film that inspire the best of me.

Reading, research, writing, and efforts that contribute to betterment.

Positive, loving, joyful relationships.

Healthy activity, recreation and good rest.

Honestly, when you cull down to the essential ingredients of good living, you find that it's not that complicated.
