Pandemic Excursions: Safe & Supportive

I try to visit my mom once a week, and when I visit I try to think of ways to have a good visit and break up my mom's typical at-home schedule. What does that include?

Good food

I try to bring some traditional meals that can provide a good dinner for a couple of days. She appreciates it.

A Drive

Fortunately drives are still healthy and safe, so we'll take a drive to see the beautiful foliage.

Lunch

I've found a nice clean cafe in a small nearby town where we can get a pizza and lemonade for lunch. We'll follow safety guidelines with masks and hand sanitizers and likely eat at a nearby park.

Farm Stands

We'll visit a farm stand to. We'll buy pumpkins, fresh veggies, and perhaps a bakery treat too.

Crafting ways to safely visit with loved ones is a pandemic challenge--one that's worth the research and planning.
