I remember the day fondly. John Walker, the Metrowest photographer, came by to take a family photo. My sons arrived from multiple locations. The threat of COVID-19 hung over our heads so we had to have a socially distanced family photo. Walker was very patient as we all relayed our needs during this time. Typically, I like a family photo like the one to the right and below--photos that show our closeness and a spirit of celebration or shared adventure, but similar to all things, the pandemic affects photos of family members who gather too.
That said, pandemic or no pandemic, a family photo is a treasure. I often look back at photos from times past to remember the event in detail. A collection of photos easily tell your story and give you valuable points of reflection.
We don't need lots and lots of photos--instead, a collection of the best photos is a treasure to enjoy and share time and again. The pandemic winter will be a good time to organize photos in ways that illustrates your life's events and special people in meaningful ways.
