The holiday season is approaching, and many are thinking about the best gifts. In fact, I asked my son yesterday about the best gifts for his fiance. Then, this morning, as I prepared for a trip to see two of my sons, I got busy prepping their favorite gift which is homemade goodies and meals.
As I went through the drawers while cleaning the house, I found old gifts of clothing complete with their purchase tags. Clearly, clothes are not that welcome. They love a family trip, but with a pandemic raging, that's not in the cards right now, so I'll likely mostly center my holiday gifts for them on homemade meals and goodies. For this trip that means beef stew, a harvest chicken dinner with lots of veggies, meatballs, sausage and spaghetti, homemade cookies, and possibly homemade breads.
Thinking about the best gifts for loved ones is always a fun challenge and a way to show your love and care. This holiday season will require additional creativity given the pandemic limitations. Who's on your gift list and what gifts will you be giving in the days ahead.
