Hunker down

The experts are telling us that it is time to hunker down in order to avoid the pandemic virus. What does it mean to hunker down during a traditional holiday season and cold weather days?

Fortunately my extended family is taking the virus seriously--everyone is expecting a more distance than usual holiday season. We've put some plans in place:

  • Those traveling to our home will get tested before they come, and in the meantime they are practicing social distancing, mask wearing, good hygiene.
  • We are gathering in small family groups rather than large family groups.
  • We'll meet up with other family members outside for hikes
  • We've had our flu shots
  • We'll focus on good entertainment at home, good cooking/meals, games, reading, and virtual gatherings for extended family members.
Personally, I want to prepare myself for a bright summer 2021--looking ahead.
